Terms and Conditions

You must be at least 21 years of age to be a member. Your birthdate is required. All sakes and/or wine are sold in CA, and title passes to the buyer in CA. Orange County sales tax of 8.75% will be assessed on each order. We make no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import sakes and/or wines into any state outside of CA. The buyer is solely responsible for the shipment of sakes and/or wines. By placing an order, you give permission to the SAKAYA USA INC. to charge your credit card for each shipment during time of member and authorize us to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver your order to you. Sake and/or wine shipments will be delivered directly to your door via UPS "Ground' for local delivery and “2day Air” for outside of local area and charged additionally to your credit card. An adult signature is required for delivery. Shipping cost include for UPS Ground or 2DAY AIR with insurance and adult signature request fee. Sakes and/or wines cannot to be shipped to P.O. Box / AFO. Minimum Annual membership requirement is 12 months (or four shipments). Membership after 12months (or four shipments) is ongoing and renewal fee will be charged without any notice on same card and may be canceled at any time before renewed. Cancellations must be received in writing. There is no fee for cancellation of membership by notifying the SAKAYA USA at least 30 days before first shipment. Cancel after shipped first shipment, cancelation fee will apply up to 50% of annual membership fee. Please notify the SAKAYA USA of any address changes as soon as possible. Your credit card may be billed up to one week prior to receiving first shipment.

Returns: Under California law, it is illegal to return sakes and/or wines once sold, except for defective sakes and/or wines, which may be returned for credit or replacement within thirty days of purchase. All returned sakes and/or wines must be accompanied with a receipt. OLDER SAKES AND WINES: We do our best to ensure proper temperature-controlled storage and provenance. However, we cannot be responsible for sakes and wines older than five years from the latest vintage. This is a wine industry standard. HEAT AND ULLAGE: Heat is the worst enemy of sake and wine. Even on mild days the temperature inside an automobile can exceed 90 degrees F, some 35 degrees (or more) hotter than our wine cellar. This wide temperature differential can quickly "push" corks and/or create seepage and messy labels. Moreover, certain "fragile" sake and/or wines can be completely ruined in a matter of hours by excessive heat. Therefore, out of fairness to our clientele, we cannot accept any returns of sakes and/or wines showing evidence of heat damage. Regarding the shipment of sake and/or wine, our shipping department keeps an eye on the weather and if, for example, you select ground shipping to a very hot climate, we will contact you to suggest faster shipping or request that you fill out a waiver assuming liability in the event the sake and/or wine is damaged. We strive to make sure that you receive the sake and/or wines in the condition they're in while sitting in our 55 degree F cellar. Similar measures are taken in cold weather as well.


Shipping charges are applicable to ONE address.

An adult (21 years or older) must be available to sign for receiving packages during normal business hours.

We cannot ship to a P.O. Box.. Packages will ship out in 1 -2 business days.
